2020 Thomas Paine Merit Scholarship
On Sabbatical  due to COVID19



Woodland Hills Republican Women Federated is awarding $5,000 in scholarship money for higher education. First place will be awarded $3,000  second place will receive $2,000. This money has been generously donated by our members and friends of WHRWF.


 2020 Scholarship is now online


Applicants from the Woodland Hills and Calabasas high school seniors will write a 500-word essay on the following subject matter.


 “Explain the differences between a constitutional republic and a socialist government using citable facts from established resource information. In your opinion, would socialism contradict our constitutional form of government?  Use examples from the U.S. Constitution.”

Application Process

​Applicants will be judged on the following items:


25% - Academics (GPA & Test Scores) 

25% - Non Academic Activies (clubs,               student government, church etc)

50% - 500-word Essay
